Neon One is the umbrella company for a suite of nonprofit software, including Neon CRM, Neon Fundraise, and more. Nonprofit organizations pay monthly subscription fees to access Neon One’s fundraising, donor management, and event planning applications.
Neon One users have to pay more for access to certain features whereas Givebutter users get instant access to all 100+ fundraising tools as soon as they create a free account.
Givebutter is free thanks to optional donor tips.
The fee charged by our secure payment processors is 2.9% + 30¢ except ACH, which offers a reduced rate of 1.9% + 30¢ per transaction. Donors can choose to cover these fees (which 95% do!).
If you'd prefer to disable tips, a platform fee applies instead:

Neon’s pricing varies depending on the features and support you need. On its own, Neon CRM costs between $99–$699+ per month, depending on your organization's yearly revenue, and Neon Fundraise costs an additional $1,500/year.
Additional one time add-ons like data configuration can cost up to $1,500. Lower-tier plans can add on phone and chat support for an extra $50/month, or support consultations for $100/month.
Payment processing fees are 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction for credit cards (3.9% for AmEx) or 1% + $1 for ACH. Neon does allow donors to cover these fees.
