Overview

Thousands of nonprofits, schools, and teams across the country use Givebutter’s 100+ user-friendly fundraising tools to raise money for their programs and engage their communities.

Unlike GiveCampus, Givebutter is free for all users—no add-ons, pricing tiers, limits, or penalty fees.

GiveCampus helps schools rally support amongst students, alumni, and their larger community.

Like Givebutter, this platform equips fundraisers with peer-to-peer outreach tools, but GiveCampus lacks the robust email marketing, texting, and event planning and livestreaming features that Givebutter offers without an annual subscription.

Pricing

Givebutter is free thanks to optional donor tips.

The fee charged by our secure payment processors is 2.9% + 30¢ except ACH, which offers a reduced rate of 1.9% + 30¢ per transaction. Donors can choose to cover these fees (which 95% do!).

If you'd prefer to disable tips, a platform fee applies instead:

→ 1% for Donation Forms
→ 3% for Fundraising Pages
→ 5% for Events & Auctions

GiveCampus charges an annual subscription for all of its products. The price of a GiveCampus subscription varies depending on the features you need, the amount you plan to raise, and the number of contacts or volunteers in your program.

GiveCampus does not list any of its fees publicly. You must fill out a contact form to request customized pricing information.

G2 Momentum Grid® Report for Fundraising | Summer 2022

I am part of a large high school, and our team has 70+ members. The number one problem Givebutter solves for me is providing an affordable platform to fundraise effectively. In the past, if I raised $15,000, I'd be lucky to receive $12,000 of that, since other platforms took 20–30% of the money raised. Being in a large, urban high school, EVERY DOLLAR counts. Givebutter is the BEST solution, period. Having used a number of online, crowdsourcing fundraising platforms, Givebutter has some unique advantages: team-based fundraising, fundraising through text, QR Codes, iFrame support on external web pages, different fundraising categories (i.e. tickets, crowdsourcing, or payment)... I could go on. It's the best, most equitable, easy-to-use fundraising platform I have found in 26 years of education.
